It is possible that your Internet Service Provider (ISP) uses the port that OpenDNS is configured to access, typically port 53, which will prevent OpenDNS filtering. If OpenDNS does not appear to be working correctly, enabling this will attempt to bypass those ports when using an OpenDNS content filtering level.

Jul 10, 2017 · The other option for an OpenDNS configuration is to change each client in your network, or you can change the DNS on your router, and Mom and Dad can configure their own computer with their ISP’s DNS server settings, or they can use Google’s public DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4), to access the Internet unfettered. Oct 28, 2015 · Screen times controls on Windows 10 have stopped working, I can't set limits any more.. How do I make them work again? They used to work. It's a very poor system anyway and nowhere near as easy as the Windows 7 version - now I have to set an hourly limit for the day which means that I need to reset every time my child logs on because they DO NOT notice the time when they are on the computer

IPv6 supports a far larger number of addresses than IPv4, which is why the change is taking place now — since IPv4 was implemented in 1981, the Internet has grown dramatically, and there Re: Parent control not working (not blocking anything) Thanks for the reply Dexter. I couldn't find the blacklist/whitelist option (UI completely changed from what I'm used to) but just as I was responding I decided to click around the netgear opendns site more aggressively and I finally found it! But to have a workaround on the first issue, I tried to add a custom Upstream DNS which is the OpenDNS Family Shield (208.67.222.123, 208.67.220.123). I have saved and restarted the dns service and even the system, but it still doesn't work according to opendns' test page. Again, I am not sure if those are issues or not.
